About the LEGO Boutique Hotel set

The Boutique Hotel is a Modular Building, part of that series of townhouses that all dock onto the same baseplate. Across three storeys there is a lobby with reception, hotel rooms, an art gallery in the annexe and a roof garden, all furnished down to framed pictures on the walls. The floors lift off individually.

It is built storey by storey, which makes it pleasantly easy to portion out: one floor an evening, 9 to 12 hours in total for 3’066 pieces. Finished, the building stands 33 cm tall on a 25 × 25 cm footprint. LEGO has never left the Modular Buildings in the range for long, and this one was retired at the end of 2025. Here you can still build it without hunting the second-hand market.

Common questions about the LEGO Boutique Hotel

How long does the LEGO Boutique Hotel take to build?

Reckon on 9 to 12 hours for the 3066 pieces. As with all Modular Buildings you build storey by storey, which makes it easy to portion out. Each floor is an evening in itself.

How big is the LEGO Boutique Hotel (10297)?

The building is 33 cm tall on a 25 × 25 cm footprint. It stands on the usual Modular Building baseplate and so joins seamlessly onto other buildings in the series.

Can you still buy the LEGO Boutique Hotel?

No. LEGO took the set out of the range at the end of 2025, as it does with all Modular Buildings after a few years. Second-hand examples typically rise in price once a modular is retired.

What is furnished inside the LEGO Boutique Hotel?

Every floor: a lobby with reception, hotel rooms, an art gallery in the annexe and a roof garden. The storeys lift off individually. Seven minifigures come with it, along with plenty of interior detail down to framed pictures on the walls.

Questions about the BlockAbo rental model

How does BlockAbo actually work?

You pick a set from our collection and we send it to your door for free. You build it, keep it as long as you like, and send it back when you are ready for the next one. After a month at the earliest, with no upper limit. Then you choose your next set.

What does BlockAbo cost and what is included?

There are three options: the single rental at a one-off CHF 42.–, the monthly plan at CHF 39.– per month and the yearly plan at CHF 29.– per month. Included are the complete set, the instructions, delivery to you and the cleaning. You cover the return, and the label is already in the box.

Can I cancel the subscription at any time?

Yes. The monthly plan can be cancelled to the end of any month, with no reason and no notice period. You send the set back and that is that. The yearly plan commits you for twelve months and costs about a quarter less per month in return.

How hygienic are rented LEGO sets?

Every set is washed at 30 °C with soap after it comes back, dried, and checked brick by brick for completeness. Only then does it go out again. So you never get a set somebody else has been through unchecked.

What happens if pieces are missing or break?

Up to ten lost small pieces are no problem and are included in the price. It happens, vacuum cleaners are merciless. We only get in touch for larger damage or missing large pieces. You do not have to go over the carpet with tweezers.

How fast does the set reach me?

Orders placed before 14:00 go out the same working day. After that Swiss Post usually takes one to two working days. We deliver anywhere in Switzerland and delivery to you is free.

Why is renting more sustainable than buying?

A LEGO set is usually built once and then sits on a shelf or in a cellar for years. With us the same set passes through eight to ten people. For the same number of sets built, that is up to 90 % less newly produced plastic.
