About the LEGO Jazz Club set

The Jazz Club belongs to the modular series and consists of two buildings: the club with its neon sign and diagonal corner entrance, and the pizzeria next door. The angled entrance sits at 45 degrees on the baseplate. That was new for the series and unfamiliar to build. Inside, every floor is furnished: a stage with spotlights, a dressing room with a make-up table, a pizza oven on the ground floor, a greenhouse on the roof.

With 2’899 pieces you are at it for around ten hours. Much of that goes into interiors you will barely see again once the floors are stacked. That is how modulars are, and you have to like it. Built, it is 30 cm tall and needs 25 × 26 cm of space, so a single shelf. If you want to try the series once without starting a collection, renting comes out cheaper.

Common questions about the LEGO Jazz Club

How long does the LEGO Jazz Club take to build?

Reckon on 8 to 12 hours. The 2'899 pieces spread across three floors plus a roof garden, which you build separately and only stack at the end. The interiors eat more time than the facade. The stage, the dressing room and the pizzeria are each a small session of their own.

How big is the LEGO Jazz Club once built?

It is 30 cm tall on a footprint of 25 × 26 cm. That is the usual modular format and fits on a normal shelf or a sideboard. If you line several modulars up, width becomes the issue rather than height.

Can you still buy the LEGO Jazz Club?

On lego.com it is currently listed as sold out in Switzerland. The Jazz Club came out in 2023, and modulars usually stay in the range for two to three years. After that resale prices rise noticeably above the original CHF 239.–. Renting is the simplest way to build it all the same.

Is the LEGO Jazz Club hard to build?

No, for an 18+ set it is forgiving. The only unfamiliar part is the corner entrance, which sits at 45 degrees on the baseplate. You need to take a moment over the alignment there so the two facades meet cleanly. The rest is classic modular technique with no surprises.

What is furnished inside the LEGO Jazz Club?

All three floors are fitted out: on the ground floor the pizzeria with a stone oven and the foyer, above that the club room with a stage, spotlights and a double bass, behind it the dressing room with a make-up table. On the roof stands a greenhouse growing vegetables for the kitchen. Eight minifigures come with it, among them a singer, a bassist and a drummer.

Questions about the BlockAbo rental model

How does BlockAbo actually work?

You pick a set from our collection and we send it to your door for free. You build it, keep it as long as you like, and send it back when you are ready for the next one. After a month at the earliest, with no upper limit. Then you choose your next set.

What does BlockAbo cost and what is included?

There are three options: the single rental at a one-off CHF 42.–, the monthly plan at CHF 39.– per month and the yearly plan at CHF 29.– per month. Included are the complete set, the instructions, delivery to you and the cleaning. You cover the return, and the label is already in the box.

Can I cancel the subscription at any time?

Yes. The monthly plan can be cancelled to the end of any month, with no reason and no notice period. You send the set back and that is that. The yearly plan commits you for twelve months and costs about a quarter less per month in return.

How hygienic are rented LEGO sets?

Every set is washed at 30 °C with soap after it comes back, dried, and checked brick by brick for completeness. Only then does it go out again. So you never get a set somebody else has been through unchecked.

What happens if pieces are missing or break?

Up to ten lost small pieces are no problem and are included in the price. It happens, vacuum cleaners are merciless. We only get in touch for larger damage or missing large pieces. You do not have to go over the carpet with tweezers.

How fast does the set reach me?

Orders placed before 14:00 go out the same working day. After that Swiss Post usually takes one to two working days. We deliver anywhere in Switzerland and delivery to you is free.

Why is renting more sustainable than buying?

A LEGO set is usually built once and then sits on a shelf or in a cellar for years. With us the same set passes through eight to ten people. For the same number of sets built, that is up to 90 % less newly produced plastic.
